Founded in 2000, Digital Content Factory Ltd. (DCF) provides enterprise learning solutions to corporate training and higher education markets, through the development of learning products, and the offering of integrated services. Such solutions are possible based on a broad set of capabilities.
DCF’s core team has been providing learning and international rollout solutions for over 20 years. This is achieved through the experience of a team of individuals, who from a business perspective, can design, development, and manage a series of learning products that are not only effective in today’s corporate market, but also, to which a variety of different integrated services can be applied to create an enhanced edition of a product, or a completely unique product, delivered to your door.
Products and integrated services
The core of DCF’s business is the selling and licensing of standard quick reference products and courseware, which are primarily Microsoft (but not exclusively) productivity applications and operating systems. These products are available in multiple languages.
- Quick Reference - (QRGs, or guides) are professionally designed — color documents, pertaining to popular desktop application software. They allow users to quickly reference and learn how to perform many different software related tasks. In addition, our migration guides help users migrate from the current version of applications they use to a new version, which is ideal for cost effective rollouts. Our guide design has evolved over 10 years and has been used by hundreds of thousands of students.
- Courseware - is designed in half day, one day, and two day formats, as required based on relevant topics and content complexity. Courseware is used by training facilitators to deliver instructor led training with hands-on exercises. Our course design has evolved over 20 years and has been used by millions of students.
- Integrated Services – ranging from needs analysis, customization of standard products, (which may include product branding, and/or content changes to varying degrees), specific product development based on a customer’s unique need, or proprietary technology or processes, as well as translation for national and international rollouts. Many of these services are provided at different levels to suit each customer’s needs.
The DCF team is comprised of both internal and many external resources. Such as model is extremely effective for managing the peaks-and-valleys of technology related projects, and provides customers with competitive pricing. The combined experience of all DCF resources is beyond several hundred years.
Our Principle Team
Doug has over 25 years of experience in the technology and learning fields. He is the CEO, responsible for business development, sales and marketing efforts. He has a Commerce degree from Concordia University, and was a co-founder of Canada’s leading IT training company in the 80’s and 90’s.
Dean has over 21 years of experience in the training, instructional design, technology, and publishing fields. He is the VP of Technology responsible for all aspects of DCF’s products and services.
