Microsoft Office 2010 Migration Guides and Lab Guides

Designed specifically to accommodate transitioning from Microsoft Office 2003, these products contain the most common, and the most relevant corporate end-user new features from both Microsoft Office 2007, and 2010. There are two transition products available:

  • Microsoft Office 2003 to 2010 – Migration Quick Reference Guides identify and describe new features, allowing users to learning about them conceptually. They may be used by a knowledgeable instructor (familiar with previous version software) to deliver a 2- to 4- hour overview style seminar; and they can be used as a reference guide for end users.   • Microsoft Office 2003 to 2010 – Migration Lab Guides are optional manuals that contain hands-on exercises, cross-referenced to the new features covered in the quick reference guides. They may be used to help facilitate a demonstration-style seminar, by providing instructors with set activities, reducing costly prep-time. In addition, they may be coupled with the associated quick reference guide, to provide a 1- to 2- day hands-on session.

Other Migration Guides

DCF has other products to aide in the transition to Microsoft Office 2010. These products contain the most common, and the most relevant corporate end-user new features from Microsoft Office 2010, as well as new productivity from Windows 7. These additional transition products are:

  • Microsoft Office 2010 New Features – Quick Reference Guide identifies and describes new features of Microsoft Office 2010 only, allowing users to learn about them conceptually, and transition from Microsoft Office 2007. It may be used by a knowledgeable instructor (familiar with previous version software) to deliver a 1- to 2- hour overview style seminar; and it can be used as a reference guide for end users. This guide is available in French.

  • Microsoft Office 2010 Fluent User Interface – Quick Reference Guide identifies and describes new user interface features, such as the Ribbon, Backstage view, Galleries and Live Preview, to name a few; al-lowing users to learn about them conceptually. It may be used by a knowledgeable instructor (familiar with previous version software) to deliver a 30- to 60– minute overview style seminar; and it can be used as a reference guide for end users. This guide is available in French.

  • Microsoft Windows XP to 7 – Migration Quick Reference Guide identifies and describes new productivity features, allowing users to learning about them conceptually. All of the Microsoft Office 2010 products can be customized to meet your organization’s needs. We offer various customization options for all products. The costs for each of such services are one time, and are waived with a volume commitment per title, or enterprise license.

Cost of the quick reference guide, or courseware and shipping on resulting orders are extra. Limits to the number of topics, chapters and/or pages are applicable.


Guide Customization Fees
Option 1

  • Replace the default logo with your company’s logo.

Option 2

  • Includes Option 1
  • Insert new custom topics and/or modifying existing topics.
  • Remove specific topics.

Option 3

  • Includes Options 1 and/or 2
  • Custom page layout and branding.
  • Custom content development and instructional design.
  • Graphically illustrate tasks and/or processes.
  • Regular Fee: must be scoped | Government Fee: -10% discount of scoped

 

Courseware Customization Fees

  • Insert your company’s logo on the inside cover page. Printed b/w.
  • Insert your company’s name in the courseware footer to associate the courseware with your company.
  • Regular Fee: $250. | Government Fee: $200.

  • Includes Option 1
  • Select and rearrange entire chapters of standard material to create a custom course.
  • Regular Fee: $400. | Government Fee: $360.

  • Includes Options 1 and/or 2
  • Select and modify standard topics, and/or develop new topics.

  • Custom designed cover and page layout.
  • Instructional design to accommodate company specific tasks, environment specific configuration, and/or processes.

Printed quick reference guides and courseware

  • Intended for any size organization, most courseware titles are 1 day sessions, while some are half-day, or two-days sessions.
  • Quick Reference Guides and Courseware may be purchased in small quantities as required, or larger volumes will provide customers with discounts.
  • Retail costs may be obtained from our online catalogue. All pricing reflects both CAD and USD based on your location.
  • Government discounts are available.

 

Licensed quick reference guides and courseware

  • Intended for use as part of an Enterprise license agreement, electronic files can be provided in:
    • Courseware: PDF format for printing at your specific location.
    • Courseware: Microsoft Word format for internal customization.
    • Quick Reference Guides: PDF format (with navigational links), which may be posted to a company’s intranet to allow users to quickly locate (and print if required) the desired instructions, and train themselves.
    • These license options may be used as part of a corporate green technology solution, as they reduce or eliminate the use of paper and transportation.
